Set within Hobart’s CBD residential streetscape, inside feels gently removed from the city’s pace.

A private courtyard garden rests at the rear of the cottage, sheltered and serene — a place to pause with a book, watch the light shift through the greenery, or linger over a glass of something as evening settles in.

As a hands-off hosted stay, we honour your privacy throughout your visit, while remaining close by should you need anything.     • 50% of the total booking amount due at the time of booking

    • Remaining amount will be debited from your credit card 14 days before arrival

    • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.

    • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable.

    • Captains Cottage is a heritage-listed property featuring the original steep staircase to the loft bedroom, reminiscent of the charming staircases often found in romantic European historic homes, so this listing may not suit those who have mobility issues.
